The third in this series of posts about our new titles from the hallowed UK culture criticism site sees Liz Phair’s Exile in Guyville author Gina Arnold delving into five careers comparable to that of Miss Phair, including one major surprise:

“In actuality, studio songwriter and music biz insider Robin Thicke’s career looks more like that of Liz Phair’s later years, but his wildly successful summer hit song ‘Blurred Lines’ has evoked the same kind of messing-with-you sex message that Phair’s dirtier work did all those years ago.”

She goes on to debunk her comparison a bit, which just makes this a list that much more worth reading. Read the whole thing, here.
