Workingman’s Dead hits the road!

9781628929249Next week, Buzz Poole, author of our recently-published 33 1/3 on Grateful Dead’s Workingman’s Dead, will join Jesse Jarnow (author of Heads: A Biography of Psychedelic America, Da Capo, 2016) on the first leg of Jarnow’s ‘Heads Talks’ events throughout the Northeast. Buzz and Jesse will be talking all things Grateful Dead (needless to say!), psychedelics, sonics, pop culture, and much more.

Event details can be found at the bottom of this post. At each stop, Buzz and Jesse have recruited local Heads to participate, including former Dead manager Richard Loren in Portland, Maine, and the founding members of Vermont’s Bread and Puppet Theater in Burlington, Vermont.

Thanks, friends – hope to see you there! If you haven’t yet had a chance to check out Grateful Dead’s Workingman’s Dead, we suggest starting with this excerpt from the book on LitHub.
