Have you heard of Classic Album Sundays? It’s a very cool initiative to bring people together on the same Sunday with the same album for a full-length, active listening experience. Colleen “Cosmo” Murphy and her husband started it awhile back and its now grown to iconic status–much like the albums its celebrates. You can learn more about the series, and Colleen, here. (Do you envy her record collection and gear as much as I do? Sigh.)
Two weeks from now, on Sunday March 23rd, Classic Album Sunday is devoted to Television’s Marquee Moon. In New York City, the CAS session will be hosted by our very own Bryan Waterman, author of the Marquee Moon 33 1/3.

Now’s your chance to get reacquainted with this excellent album, just before the release of Pete Astor’s 33 1/3 on (former Television member) Richard Hell and the Voidoid’s Blank Generation, forthcoming April 10 but available for Amazon pre-order, here.
And if you’re in NYC, consider this your advance warning for another awesome 33 1/3-related event: Andrew W.K. in conversation with I Get Wet 33 1/3 author Philip Crandall at the Strand Bookstore. More details to come, but save the date: Thursday May 22. PARTY!
See you at The Panther Room on March 23rd!

Any chance these events will be broadcast online in some fashion (i.e., via streaming video)?
