Do you live in Berlin? Lucky…
Brandon LaBelle will be reading from his new book Lexicon of the Mouth at Pro qm bookstore on September 2nd.
Lexicon of the Mouth: Poetics and Politics of Voice and the Oral Imaginary
We are pleased to celebrate the release of Lexicon of the Mouth: Poetics and Politics of Voice and the Oral Imaginary, the third publication of Brandon LaBelle’s sonic research and auditory investigations. Following his previous works, Background Noise: Perspectives on Sound Art (2006) and Acoustic Territories: Sound Culture and Everyday Life (2010), LaBelle brings his attention to questions of voice and orality.
Just last year I had the pleasure of meeting longtime Bloomsbury music and sound author Brandon LaBelle for a coffee in the Berlin neighborhood of Prenzlauerberg. Brandon insisted that I pay a visit to Berlin’s greatest bookstore Pro Qm just a few minutes south.
There I found a ton of my friends!
The store has a fantastic collection of art and music books in ALL languages.
