Okay this is going to get a bit weird. One of my favorite things to eat is “tarako” a Japanese pasta dish made with fish roe and cream. Sounds gross but trust me, it’s delicious. The Kewpie company (famous for that creamy mayonnaise in your spicy tuna roll) happens to make the most bizarre commercials I have ever seen for their packaged version of tarako sauce.
The tarako character featured in the ads is meant to resemble the amniotic sac of fish eggs that the dish is made with. Cute right? Feast your eyes on a compilation of some of the strangest television commercials to ever air.
